Initial Situation
Accantum develops document management and workflow systems for companies of various sizes and industries. The goal was to further automate invoice workflows within the existing platform and reduce the manual effort involved in processing incoming documents.

Challenge
Traditional template-based or rule-based processes quickly reach their limits when handling varying invoice formats. Different layouts, changing document structures and high document volumes further increase manual effort.
At the same time, document data needed to be identified reliably, matched with existing master and reference data, and processed further within the existing workflow management system.
Beyond a high level of automation, seamless integration into existing DMS and workflow environments was therefore a critical requirement.
Solution and Result
Accantum integrated bluDELTA seamlessly into the existing invoice workflow of its workflow management system. Incoming invoices are automatically analyzed, relevant information is extracted and structured for further processing within the DMS environment.
The processed data can then be matched with master and purchase order data and integrated into existing approval and archiving workflows.
Through the integration, manual processing steps were reduced significantly and new customers could be integrated into existing workflows more quickly. At the same time, Accantum customers benefit from structured and scalable document processing within their existing system environments.
