Initial Situation
Aptean Austria – formerly Ramsauer & Stürmer – develops ERP business software solutions for mid-sized companies across a wide range of industries. The goal was to extend the existing ERP system with automated invoice capture and AI-supported document processing.
A key requirement was a solution that integrates directly into existing ERP and workflow environments while reliably processing a wide variety of supplier and document structures.
This would enable customers to benefit from more efficient and increasingly automated invoice workflows within their existing ERP environment.

Challenge
Mid-sized companies process invoices from a wide range of suppliers, industries and document formats. Traditional rule-based or template-based solutions often require extensive maintenance and quickly reach their limits as document variation increases.
At the same time, automated document processing needed to be available directly within the existing ERP system — without additional isolated solutions or complex system disruptions.
Beyond document capture itself, extending the capabilities of the existing ERP system therefore became a central requirement.
Solution and Result
Aptean Austria integrates bluDELTA for the automated processing of incoming invoices directly within its ERP system. Documents are automatically identified, relevant information is extracted and structured for downstream ERP and workflow processes.
In addition, bluDELTA supports the validation of incoming document data and extends the ERP system with AI-supported document processing for a wide range of supplier and invoice structures.
This allowed the ERP platform to be expanded strategically while enabling customers to adopt automated document workflows quickly. At the same time, manual effort within invoice processing was reduced significantly.
